At the eve of the ceremony day for President Barack Obama, The Blogging Gamers thought about which video game character could become a great United States President. Because it is the first time that Americans have a black president, we decide to trim down the list of characters to those who would be a first timer if they were elected. Let’s see who made the cut after the break.

5. First brain US President – Mother Brain from Metroid series

Let’s face it. Politics is sometimes about brainwashing people’s mind with some lies in order to pass some laws. Who else than a big brain like Mother Brain to do it? Also, she have a nice plan for the current economic crisis. It’s really simple actually. She wants to reset everything I mean everything back to zero!?! Okay, maybe we shouldn’t elect her after all…

4. First woman US President – The Boss from Metal Gear Solid series

The Boss is the mentor of Naked Snake and a legendary American soldier from Metal Gear Solid series. She is very respected. In fact, she is the mother of the United States Special Operations Forces in the series. If the United States needs a strong woman as their President, I think she fits the bill nicely.

3. First alien US President – The Arbiter from Halo series

In the future, aliens might come to Earth and live there. So, we have to face that possibility that someday, they might outnumber humans and they would want their President to act and think like them. If I have to pick one, I would pick the Arbiter from Halo. He changes his attitude from foe to friend in the Halo series. At least, he don’t want to eliminate humanity… yet. Let’s not forget he uses an energy sword (see pic above)! Now, that’s a cool president!

2. First mutant US President – Master Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Mutants seem to be pretty popular these days with the X-men movies and alike. Master Splinter is a wise person but don’t judge him from his looks. Rats might not have good reputation, but, remember this, they are equal to us in population! Although we don’t have accurate data about those rodents, some say they are about 8 millions in New York city alone while others say it’s less. Whatever the case, Master Splinter is a very mature and could be a great US President!

1. First robot US President – Optimus Prime from Transformers: The Game

We live in a world filled with electronics and robots. They make our life easier and they can do more tasks every day. However, someday with their artificial intelligence, they want and will invade us, humans. Let’s not fight! Let them rule the world as long as Optimus Prime is there, I think he will not kill protect us!
