Weekdays schedule for RPG gamers working full-time

Being a gamer is not easy. Being a gamer and working full-time is even more difficult. But, the worst is being a RPG gamer and working full-time. Now that many more games are coming one after another for this holiday season, we have to face load of great RPGs. The variety is pretty good: Fable 2, Fallout 3, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, Valkyria Chronicles, Luminous Arc 2 and Persona 4 to name a few.
So, how can you finish most of them (if not all)? Well, you can buy one game at a time and buy another when you finish it. But, that would be too easy and you will miss some nice pre-order stuff. Therefore, I just make a schedule for RPG gamers to follow on weekdays. More info after the jump.
12:00AM – 06:00AM: Have a good night of sleep.
06:00AM – 06:15AM: Wake up and take a quick shower.
06:15AM – 06:20AM: Brush teeth and clean your face.
06:20AM – 06:30AM: Eat some cereals and milk to save some time.
06:30AM – 08:00AM: Play on your console/PC until it’s time to dress up and go to work.
08:00AM – 09:00AM: Commute and, on your way to work, think about how you would boost your character equipment & pass the other level (if you use public transportation and have a portable console, play the game instead)
09:00AM – 10:00AM: Working a little while browsing Neogaf forums and read funny comments
10:00AM – 12:00PM: Still working but you spend most of your time arguing with trolls on a gaming blog
12:00PM – 01:00PM: Eat your lunch & order some pizzas on the phone for delivery tonight (if it’s available in your area). It will most likely be tomorrow’s diner.
01:00PM – 05:00PM: Spend most of your time working (you don’t want to get caught by your boss). But, you still check from time to time the blog and forums.
05:00PM – 06:00PM: Commute and hope the traffic won’t slow you down to get home.
06:00PM – 06:20PM: Buy some beef jerky, instant rice bags, fruit snacks and, of course, energy drinks.
06:20PM – 06:35PM: Eat while playing if you can. What kind of gamers can’t do that?
06:35PM – 08:15PM: Play until your eyes are tired. Don’t forget to save!
08:15PM – 08:30PM: Take a break, watch X-Play on G4 and complain that they gave your JRPG a score of 3 out of 5. Note: It’s just someone’s opinion! No need to troll the forums.
08:30PM – 11:15PM: Play, eat something and play again!
11:15PM – 12:00AM: Go to bed and sleep.
Total play time per weekday: around 6 hours. After 5 days, you can get over 30 hours. That’s about the average completion time for a RPG these days. You can now resume your regular schedule until the next RPG…
What about a weekend schedule? It’s up to you. I find it more difficult to have some free time gaming on weekdays than on weekend.
Just one more thing… This schedule is targeting single gamers. For gamers with someone in their life, just add 2-3 minutes each day to say “I love you my dear! Oh, I have to play my game…” so he or she (or she-he if it’s a shemale… no discrimination at TBG) doesn’t bother you for the night. Just kidding! Feel free to adjust the schedule for your needs and you’re set! How’s my schedule? Is there a way to optimize without going over the top?
